Working closely with the artistic office of KW Institute for contemporary art in between 2013-2017, I developed various mediation formats, relating to the changing exhibitions. My Lab for Art Education was involved in the program’s conception and development phases and could therefore expand ideas, themes, and its own presentations in advance.

The Lab was like a hub and I was working together with artists, various educational facilities and social institutions, testing new constellations in order to challenge limits and hierarchies and to rethink the traditional exhibition conception process in a flexible, feedback process.

In 2014 KW was happy to announce that beginning that season, a permanent space in the KW building had been dedicated to my Lab for Art Education. The space represented KW’s cooperation with the Heinz-Brandt-Schule, which began through the Culture Agents for Creative Schools program of the German Federal Cultural Foundation and Mercator Stiftung, and was funded by Künste öffnen Welten for three years. Within the Lab I developed projects for adults and students, and worked with refugee communities.
