Ein 16 mm Film zeigt eine langsame Kamerafahrt entlang des Ufers des \u201elac aux c\u00e9rises\u201c in den kanadischen Appalachen. In die Film-Bewegung werden Dias projiziert. Sie geben Aufnahmen anderer Fjorde wieder und holen die Landschaft schrittweise n\u00e4her an den Betrachter heran.<\/p>\n<p>Die Arbeit steht im gedanklichen Zusammenhang mit den Beschreibungen, die der blinde Schriftsteller Jaques Lusseyran von der Appalachenlandschaft gibt. In \u201eLe monde commence aujourd\u00b4hui\u201c schildert Lusseyran das Sehen als einen Wahrnehmungsvorgang, der nicht an die physische Funktionsf\u00e4higkeit der Augen gebunden ist.
