Lichtreisen is composed of a 16-mm color film and black and white slides. The film loop shows a sequence which was taken at a meeting with a man suffering from Alzheimer‘s disease.
The film detail shows the upper part of the body and the hands of the man. These hands are “reading“ a magazine: Instead of reading the words with his eyes, his fingertips are feeling and caressing the printed paper. The black and white slides projected next to the film projection consist of film stills from unpublished sequences.
